Sweet Ceratosoma Nudibranch

If you were the colour of your favourite food – what colour would you be?

Seaslugs are arguably the most colourful creatures on the planet and their colouring and pattern is derived from the food they eat. Some feed on orange sponges and end up orange, some graze on pink algae and turn pink, some even feast exclusively on blue bottles and turn blue.

They are more commonly found on tropical reefs, but a surprising number of species are found brightening up the waters of Underwater Sydney.

Seaslugs are amazing in so many ways – some can steal weapons from their victims, some are solar powered and all are simultaneous hermaphrodites, we love seaslugs.
