Underwater Woollahra

Underwater Woollahra is the home of Striped Pyjama Squid and is one of the most fascinating and unexpected locations in Sydney. The council is located in an area we call the gold zone and attracts some of Sydney's most unique animals. One area is particularly rich in unusual marine life - Camp Cove. Uncover some of the creatures that live here by clicking on the orange squares.

Home of the Striped Pyjama Squid

The naming guy was having a good day (for once) when he named the Striped Pyjama Squid – it’s a squid and it looks like it’s wearing striped pyjamas. They are one of the hardest creatures to spot in Sydney Harbour as they’re only about 5cm long and, not surprisingly, only like to come out at night.
